Pastry Course Day Nine: Chocolate Fantasy Bug
Last week we learned all about concave and convex shapes. We had to, either, start working on pieces for our final assignment, or create a fantasy piece. I decided to create a fantasy bug.
This week it went a whole lot better than last week. Creating the shapes went pretty well and I even coloured some chocolate for the first time. We also learned how we can make chocolates/pralines even shinier. You have to give the molds a thin coating. I have to say, it all went pretty well, it is quite hard to get the colours the way you want it though, but practice makes perfect, I’ll just have to try it a few more times!
The next lesson will be all about the final assignment, the showpiece. I really hope I’ll be able to do it!
