Awesome Lime Buttercream
This easy and simple buttercream recipe truly is awesome. The lime makes the buttercream really fresh. The buttercream works well on lemon cupcakes or as a cake filling.

Ingredients
- 1cup butter250 g
- 3 1/2cup confectioner’s sugar430 g
- 1 limeKey Lime
Instructions
- Grate the lime.
- Squeeze the lime and sieve the juice.
- In a bowl, add butter and with an electric mixer beat until it’s creamy.
- Add half of the confectioners’ sugar to the butter and mix till it’s incorporated.
- Add lime zest and juice and mix till it’s all incorporated.
- Add the rest of the confectioners’ sugar to the buttercream and mix until nice and creamy.
- Use as cupcake topping or as a filling for cakes.
