Making Spice Nuts Live on Facebook!

Last week I finally got over the fear of baking live. I recorded my first Facebook Live video! I made Spice Nuts (Kruidnootjes) mainly cause it’s an easy recipe and I didn’t want to make things too difficult for myself.

Preparing for Facebook Live

It may not look like it, but I did actually prepare (a little) before pressing that “Go Live” button. I figured I needed help being live so I called in help from my mom. She filmed the whole thing while I was going through the recipe. We did a practice run first where she taped and I went through the recipe to be sure I didn’t forget anything. However, even with practice run that first time was still nerve wrecking. It felt like I went through the recipe in high speed and even made a mistake while explaining the recipe. I said the balls had to be the size of a walnut, but they should be the size of a hazelnut. A minor difference… ahem…

Overall I liked it and enjoyed the experience though. The feedback I’ve had so far has been positive and I’m looking forward to doing more of these Facebook Live sessions and hopefully improve along the way. My nephews ended up approving and eating all the cookies 🙂
