Instructions
Chocolate Balls
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 °F / 175 °C. Grease a cake pop tin.
  2. Sift baking powder, salt and flour into a bowl and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, mix cinnamon, egg whites and butter until combined and a thick fluffy consistency.
  4. Add melted chocolate, brandy, sugar and vanilla and mix until combined.
  5. Add flour mixture and mix until combined and smooth. Don’t over mix the batter. You should end up with a silky, smooth consistency.
  6. Pour batter into the cake pop tin. Make sure each hole is filled up to the top.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
Salted Caramel Topping
  1. Add condensed milk, butter and golden syrup to a saucepan and bring it to a boil.
  2. Boil for 4 minutes and add the salt. Boil for another 4 minutes or until the caramel has a nice golden color and is thick enough to drizzle.
  3. Turn off the heat and let the caramel cool down. Once cooled drizzle over the cake balls. You can put the cooled caramel into a piping bag and pipe it on the cake balls as well.
Recipe Notes

Please note that the cup measurements in this recipe are approximate. I have added cups for those that prefer using cups. The recipe is most accurate using weights measurements.

  • Golden syrup is a cane sugar syrup which is commonly used in British baking recipes. Golden Syrup can be found on Amazon (affiliate).
  • To make the balls you’ll need a cake pop baking pan.
  • Cool down the caramel and transfer to a piping bag to decorate the balls more easily.
